UK Council Gives Millions for Social Enterprise

A first of its kind partnership between Oxford City Council and local social enterprise the Low Carbon Hub provides the blueprint for financing community energy projects.

A £2.3 million loan will enable Oxford social enterprise, the Low Carbon Hub, to build up to 25 renewable energy projects this year.

Developers Looking To Help NFPs

It seems the cost of office rents and funding cuts are beginning to put even more pressure on the NFP sector in Perth. NGO Manager are currently working with six not for profit organisations who desperately need long term solutions to the problem of office accommodation.  Surprisingly there are a number of developers, land owners and architects willing to help. NGOM is currently investigating 3 proposals that provide office accommodation for an NFP, whilst also offering affordable housing options for local residents and junior medical staff. We hope to be able to tell you more soon.
